Application receipt / Petition number

My company has provided me with a EACXX number to be used for Application or pertition number in DS160 form but I am currently in the US with approved petition from USCIS. This approval notice has a different EACXX number. I am confused as to which number should I input in DS160 form. Any thoughts please?

Is the number that you have for L1 petition filed by the same company? Why are there two different petitions?

Yes both the petitions are filed by same company. I guess the petition number given by the company is a generic one? This can be used by anyone who is applying for a L1 blanket visa for the first time? I am not sure why there are two petition numbers.

Is the one that you have from an extension petition?

Yes, I have a petition number from USCIS.

Then you should obviously use the new extension petition.
