  • L2/EAD to approved H-1B to L2

    Hi

I came to US on L2 visa and got EAD and both are valid until May 2014. I got my H-1b approved and is effective Oct 1, 2013. However, my employer is planning to revoke as I'm no longer working for him. What will happen to my visa status? Will it automatically become L2 as I have only L2 visa stamp on my passport? Please clarify. Should I do COS (change of status)?

    Hello, Krish.

Which visa is your employer planning to revoke? Are you on H1B status now? Was it filed as a Change of status?

If you are ON H1B, you need to file a Change of Status to L2 else you will be Out of Status.

    Personal Opinion. Wishing you luck.

    Cheers,
These are my personal thoughts. I am not a professional.

    Wishing you luck.
