L1B Visa (2nd One) i94 validity

Hi,
I earlier had an L1B visa which got expired last year.
I applied for L1B visa this year, and now have a L1B visa valid till 2016.

I had read in forums that with L1B (when Visa expires), one can get i94 extension done for up to 5 years.

With my current visa, can I get i94 extension done for a duration of 5 years?

Or is it a cumulative duration of 5 years in US (US stay during my earlier L1 + US stay duration with current L1 = Max. 5 years)

I was out of US for 7 months between last US exit and repplication of new L1.

Then you can extend L1B only till 5 Years Minus time already spent in US on first L1B tenure.
