L1-B Visa - is extension required?

Dear Team,

I have a valid L1-B with Blanket Petition. Following are my details:

L1-B Visa expiry - July 2014
I94 expiry - July 2014
I-129S - July 2014 (assignment end date)

I have so far utilized 2.2 years on this L1-B visa.

1) I'm planning to reutrn to India in Dec. So I wanted to know if I need to file any extension to return to US later?

2) I may plan to return to US sometime in Sept 2014, in that case how do I go about visa stamping? Is it that my employer has to just provide me a new I-129S for stamping?

Any pointers in this regard will be appreciated.

If it is a blanket petition then you would need the new I129S, fill the DS-160, book visa appointment, and take supportive documents of your skill sets and employment and attend the interview.

If approved you would get it or 2 Years as L1B is for 5 Years only (if no 1 year break in between)

So in that I don't qualify for any extension as such. Even I leave US in Dec without filing any extension or that sort, I can return with fresh I129S and newly stamped visa?
