My Visa is expiring Jan 2014 and I-94 date is July 2015, is that valid to work till the I-94 expiry date ? Will there be any problem when I apply a new US visa next time?

Only thing is if you leave US after Jan 2014, for any reason, you would need to attend a new visa stamping interview in order to get a new visa to allow you re-entry.
This is my opinion not legal advice.

Couple of things you do need to take care, once L1 to H1 Status Change is approved, you should work only with the H1 employer, from H1 approval date (01-Oct-2014 or later). You cannot work with L1 employer post H1 COS approval.
If you travel out of US things will change and the situation would have to be reviewed again.
