L1A visa - 211g due to damaged passport
Hi,
I attended L1A visa interview today and the consular gave me 211(g) stating that my passport is damaged and a new passport is required. He told me that my visa will be issued once I submit the new passport at the OFC. I am planning to apply for the new passport under tatkal and hoping to receive the same by Thursday, 11/21. If I submit the new passport on Friday, 11/22 how long do you thing it normally takes to return the passport with Visa. I read on multiple forums that 211(g) will take 30 - 60 days, however the reason that was mentioned in my case is the damaged passport so I am hoping to get the visa within 3-4 days post submission.. any information provided would be really helpful.
