Awaiting L1B RFE Response, travel back to India

Hi,

I am awaiting response for the RFE for L1B visa extension petition and now my company has asked me to go back to India. Can anyone please let me know if I travel back to India will this affect my L1B extension visa petition? Will I get approved or rejected notice once I leave the country or will it still be valid?
