L2 dependent Visa

My Husband is currently in US on L1, i want to come to US on L2 and work on EAD. Is it possible that i come to US, Apply for EAD go back to India to finish my current project, and then come back to US once the EAD is approved?
Please help

Technically you can travel, but its not advisable for couple of reasons. First, your I-94 should be valid at the time of verification, but as you would not be in US the verification may fail as you would have returned the I-94 upon exit. Secondly, one should be present in US during biometrics, if any . This is also one of the reason sometimes people avoid travelling during L2 EAD application because one can be called anytime for Biometrics and if you are out of US you would have to travel immediately just to attend biometrics.
