I have a company in India and we're looking to set up a branch office in the US. I complete one year with the firm in May 2014.
For now, we are looking to set up a registered office in the US and set up a bank account to supplement our global presence. The aim is to get a L1 on the basis of this and get a green card ultimately.
When we're ready to apply for the L1, we will have the following done -
1 : A US registered company with tax ID and bank account.
2 : A virtual office in the US
3 : The sister company running in India.
Also as the director of the firm, I would have completed one year with the firm that qualifies me for the L1.
Please let me know if this is the right way of going about it.
