Travel to US as US employee on L1B Visa

I have a L1B visa and am supposed to travel as a rotational/transitional resource. However, is there anything legally preventing me from being hired as a US employee for the same company? i.e. From day 1 in the US I will be a US employee and not a rotational employee.

This seems more of an internal company policy matter. As far as immigration is concerned you can work for the employer in US till Your I-94 Expires or 5 Years of stay in US on L1B completes whichever is earlier.
