  • Convert to L2 after L1A rejection

Hi All...this is my scenario...I was working in US on L1B until Sep 2013 and applied for L1A blanket in October from India, my visa was rejected stating - Visa clearly not approvable.

My husband is in US on L1A and his petition is valid until April 2014. I would like to apply for L2 as his dependent, but my company wouldn't file for L2 as his petition is valid only for 3 months and we require minimum 6 months to apply. Is this the general rule? Will I have any issues if I apply for stamping? please advice.

There is no such rule. You can apply for the Visa on your own. All you will need petition approval notice copy for your husband's L1 and recent paystubs. When does your husband's I-94 expire?
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
