L1B Visa and petition expired but I94 valid
Hi,
I had a L1B blanket petition before and then i had applied for extension and i got the extension approved and then I traveled to US. Now My visa is expiring on Jan 29th 2014. My petition is also expiring on the same date. But my I94 is valid till Feb 10th 2016.
1. Can I still work and stay in US after Jan 29th?
2. If I cant work, then atleast can I stay after Jan 29th for a couple of weeks?
My HR says that I cant work because that I will have to file the extension since your Petition validity is till 29 Jan 2014 and since I am currently on extension approval which will be treated as an individual application. Also HR says that the I94 expiry date has been wrongly given to me till 2016.
Please help me in this regard.
