L1-B Blanket visa denied now applying for individual L1-B

Hi,

I am an Indian working in Singapore for a well known US firm. I applied under L1B blanket category but it got denied at the embassy under 221(g) saying it is not clearly approvable. I was not well prepared for the interview and I failed to convince the counselor about my specialized knowledge "within my team of 5 members". Now my company is filing individual L1-B petition.
I have now added the evidence of myself being the top performer within my team which i failed to produce during the interview and also updated the support letter to clearly indicate the specialized knowledge about my companies tools and technology.
What are the chances of getting individual L1-B petition getting approved given the prior rejection? Any suggestions to make case for individual petition as strong as possible?

No one can predict the chances. Concentrate on providing evidences of how you use company specific tools and processes in your day to to day work and how they benefit the project and the client. Also what makes you unique not only in the project but also in organization with respect to these tools and processes.

As L1 Individual petitions can take few months to process, as a back up plan I would also suggest you try to get H1 sponsorship to apply H1 in April 2014.
