Can Non Working L2B sponsor tourist Visa for her parent?

Hi,

My Wife is on L2-B visa. She was working till last month. Now her EAD has Expired and she is also thinking of taking a break for 6 months that is why we are not renewing her EAD.

Can she still sponsor Tourist visa for her parents?

Technically anyone can be a sponsor. Granting of visitor visa is more discretionary and depends a lot on the officer interviewing.

The success will depend upon the family, financial, work ties to home country of the person applying .

If your spouse is sponsoring that shows less financial ties of her parents to their home country. So advisable that parents do a self sponsor.

Also, the VO might ask whether their daughter is working and if the parents say No and the VO asks whether she was working earlier, and if they say yes, even if wrong, it might be deduced that the parents are traveling for pregnancy help which might go against them.
