Travelling on AP while I140 is pending

Hello

I am on L1A status. ( i dont have a stamped visa ).
My I140 and 485 are pending. But i recently got my AP and EAD.
I want to travel out of USA.

My question is...
If i travel on AP, and my I140 gets rejected while i am abroad, How long do i have to come back on AP? ( or if i cant come back on the AP? )

the attorneys dont advise to travel due to complications, better to also check with your attorney.
