How much time does it take for L2 visa processing?

Hi All,

Once my visa gets approved; we are planning to apply for L2 visa for my wife(I know it would have been good if we applied for L2 along with L1; but she does not have passport yet). How many days it may take for stamping?

Depends upon how soon you can fill the DS-160 and appointment dates availability.

Hi Ganga,

As Raghvi ahs pointed out, it depends on the availability of appointment dates.

The actual processing time for L2 itself it very less. If you have an approved L1, you just need to fill the DS-160 and schedule an interview at the Embassy/Consulate with reference to the approved L1. Once the officer approves the L2 application during your interview, you will the the VISA within a couple days.

But to fill-up the DS_160, you do need a valid passport.
