About Visa Extension Processing Time

I have L1B Blanket visa and it was expired on Jan 2014 so my company file for the extension. Extension was applied on mid of oct 2013 in vermont service center and yet there is no change in the status, it is in intial process.

***Usually how long visa processing takes?

***Is there any differnece between L1B Blanket and L1 Indiviual visa extension process? If not then why USCIS has two difference selection under visa processing time query.


***Is there any one who applied for L1balnket extension on oct and got the approval?

It can take 3-6 Months in normal processing.

L1 Blanket is company specific, L1 Individual is individual specific. L1 Individual has additional step of individual petition approval by USCIS. Only professional degree holders are eligible for L1 Blanket.

My extension got filed on 4th Oct. The status is still "Intial Review"
