    L1A visa but getting paid in parent country

    Hi,

    I have been approved L1A visa and am suppose to work for the US office of my company from March'14. They will be paying me my salary and per diems in my parent country. Can they still apply for my GC when I am in US but not on the US payroll, is this legally possible? Please help.
