  • Is Infant on L2 mandatory to visit consulate for interview

    Hello Sir/Madam,

My daughter is 6 months old and I have applied L2 visa for her. Is it mandatory to take her to consulate for visa interview? Anyways I do not have much options, as there is nobody with whom I can leave her with. My wife needs to be with her, so she will have to take baby with her, while my wife also attends L2 visa interview. The only thing I am thinking about is, as visa stamping whole takes few hours in which the baby may require attention several times like food etc. So how to manage that inside consulate? Any suggestions? Are there other cases where people carry infants with them for L2 visa interview?

    Thanks and regards,
    Kunal

You can get an appointment for your wife at a diff time/day and babysit your daughter, if that is not too inconvenient. I dont know whether you are on a L1 blanket. If that is the case one more day of stay in Chennai becomes necessary.

Also, One more question is, Do we must have the offer letter for onsite salary which would have the compensation/breakup etc. while attending the VISA interview for L1B?

        Thanks and regards,

Ok Thanks. Also please I need suggestions on one more possible question to be asked in visa interview:

Q: How many people report to you?
I know L1 Blanket is suitable more for technical roles wherein one possess technical skills which is special. So actually few people report to me as I am a technical/team lead. But what should be the best answer to this question? Should we never say anybody reports to me?

            Thanks and regards,

I wasnt asked this question anyway (I am an R&D engineer, by the way). If u are applying for L1B, I think the VO is unlikely to ask this question. Honesty always pays, I guess
