  • L2 visa interview is on 21st feb 2014

    Hi Friends,

I am going for L2 visa interview with my wife on 21st Feb.
All documents/payment process is done but I have no clue about the kind of questions they will ask for L2.
I was working till last sep-2013 but I left the job due to some personal reasons and searching for jobs now. My wife is in IT field and me too.
In my DS-160, I already mentioned "Unemployed -In between jobs"

can you guys please help me to have a idea about kind of questions they gonna ask.

2 questions which 1 can think of and need experience answers are:

    1. What do you do? [I am not working so what will be the best way to answer this?]
    2. Do you plan to work in US? [Confused, plan is to work if I will get EAD. But what to answer?]

Also do I need to carry my last organizations release letter? and other experience/jobs/study documents?

    Thanks in advance for help

When you say you are going for L2 does it mean that your wife would also be attending L1 interview?
Though few, there are experiences of L2 visa applicants available at : http://www.immihelp.com/l1-l2-visa-experiences/

If both L1 and L2 are going together, primary focus is always on L1, L2 seekers are asked basic questions, when married, what are your plans, etc.

Advisable to carry your resume, if you belong to the TAL list (http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86962.pdf).

This is my opinion not legal advice.
