Immediate L1B transfer.

I was entered in USA on L1B in Oct 2013 for Company A. Visa expires in 2016.
Now Company A sends me back to India as project is over.

Company B is ready to hire me but they want immediate joining.
I was working with company B in 2007-2008 for 1 year as employee and 6 month as intern.

Q1. Is it possible to transfer my L1B to company B?
Q2. If answer of Q1 is 'YES', How long it can take for that?
Q3. If answer of Q1 is 'NO', is there any other options available so that I can for work for company B?
Q4. Company B can directly sponsor my Green Card?

I have valid B1 visa till 2016.

1. No you cannot. L1B isnt "transferable" across organizations.
2. The answer is No.
3. H1 is the only other option. The earliest you can join B, in case of getting selected in the H1 is , 01-Oct-2014.
4. GC can take 1-12 Years depending upon the category it is filed under. Though it cannot do any harm to start GC processing with B, if Company A is sending you back then there is nothing much you can do to work for B while being in US till B's H1 start date..
