L2 visa for wife

I am currently in US and would like to apply L2 Visa for my wife. I don't have marriage certificate with me but my name is added in her passport as husband. We have the album of our marriage. Can i still apply for the Visa or its absolutely necessary to have marriage certificate for applying L2 visa for Wife

I am assuming your spouse is in home country, Marriage certificate is one of the mandatory documents, she must have it, you never know, they can always ask for it , and if she doesn't have it visa can be rejected or put in admin processing.
