I'm currently in the US on a B1 Visa. My I-94 will expire sometime towards the end of April (passport not to hand).
My company (I've worked for an American company for 12 years) is applying for my L1 in the next few weeks. We're unlikely to expedite it so a decision could take until a month after my I-94 expiration.
From what I've read online and from people I know that have done the same thing they tell me as long as you have a visa in process any overstay would be forgiven with proper proof of said Visa application. I'm sure they'd have the visa application in their system anyway.
I know there is an appeals process (30 days to appeal), I assume appealing will also allow for a continued stay until all options exhausted, then fly home ASAP.
