According to the L1 rules, I must have worked for the sponsoring company for one year before I apply for the L1B visa.
What happens if during this one year my company is acquired by or merged to another company, or split into 2+ companies?
Does the counter go back to zero or does my previous experience count?
Example: if I'm hired in June 2014 and my department is split into a new company in December 2014, supposing I keep my job and responsibilities (i.e. nothing changes for me except for the name of the company), can I apply for L1 in June 2015?
