L1 B visa -passport taken by CO

Hi all,

I had interview on 26th March, asked for more docs(resume, details on my previous visits, contact person in US) which i submitted next week itself. But CO retained my passport and all docs, can anybody tell me how long it will take to know the outcome?
Is there a way for passport be returned to me, atleast if they are taking long time?

Please let me know if anybody has been through blue slip recently.

No one can predict. Time frame ranges from few days to a Year.
