  • Educational Background rules for L1B Visa - information required

    Hi,

I went through number of posts in this forum, but was unable to find any concrete information about my query. So finally decided to post a new thread.

I am having 7 years 8 months of experience in IT industry. Now my employer wants to me to travel to US on L1 Blanket Visa (this will be my first travel to US). I am having Electronics & Telecommunication as my educational background (completed n 2006, after that I joined IT).

Now my query is, will this mismatch between educational background and experience matter when it comes to L1 visa approval ?

All your responses are much appreciated.

For L1 Blanket one of the requirements is to be a professional such as an Engineer, which you are, as for mismatch between educational and experience , I dont think it will negatively impact L1B decision.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
