Hi there!
Our situation is as follows...my husband has an L1 visa which only allows him to work in the US for the company that has sponsored him, a few months ago a different company has bought the part of the company where my husband works, now, because he is not allowed to sign a contract with a different company in the US, both companies agreed in that the old company would sponsor him for a GC(i'm not sure if that is the way that you are suppose to say it), so we are in the middle of the process of the GC, we have already done biographics, and my question is, when is it legal to sign a contract with the new company, once he receive the EAD, or does he have to wait until the GC arrives?
