Old passport lost

I have a peculiar problem. I am currently on an L1B visa which has been approved but not yet stamped on my passport . I am planing to fly back home to get my visa stamping done. i was looking at the required docs and its mentioned that i need my previous passports as well. The problem is I seem to have misplaced my old passport and I have no details regarding it like the passport#, expiry etc.

How do I go about fixing this?

Didnt you file a police complaint after discovering that your passport is lost?

Where are you currently located? How you plan to return back to home country without a passport? When you say L1B visa is approved whats your current status in US and from when did you move to L1B?
