L1-A was filed on 24th june and our I-94 & DL got expired by 7th July....How long it will take to get I-797c form from the USCIS...can we drive a car as the extn is in process or do we need to wait till we get I-797 form to get temperory DL ? Pl help....Thanks....
we stay in Ohio...DMV needs I-797c form for the temperory DL....

No one can predict, sometime it can take few months. If you want is earlier upgrade to premium.

Mine took 2 weeks to arrive. My read is that no, you don't have a valid drivers license so it's not legal to drive a car. If you have an international drivers license then you might risk using this in the interim.

They renewed my drivers license for 9 months once I got the receipt notice.
