L1B to L1A Conversion and India Travel

Hi -
I'm currently on L1B visa and going to apply for L1A conversion here in USA. Here are my question related to this:
1) I believe after L1A conversion, I wont get a stamped visa. Am I right ?
2) If L1A goes through, i'm planning to visit India. In that case, I believe, I need to go for stamping. Is there chance of L1A getting rejected in the US consulate in India. if so, what percent ?
3) If L1B to l1A conversion doesnt go thru, can I still apply for L1B extension ?

You asking things without putting any dates, when is your I-94 expiring? When is your L1 visa stamp in the passport expiring? When are you planning to visit India? When are you planning to go back ?
