Hi,
Currently I hold L1B VISA and my wife on L2 VISA, we are planning to pursue masters degree starting Jan 2015. Right now we both got admissions into universities for part time courses as we both go for work. My L1b visa expires on Aug 15 2015 and we are planning to put COS to F1 in Mar 2015 to allow process time of 2 to 3 months. I have the following questions
1. Is the time what we proposed in Mar is good time as my visa expires on Aug 15 th 2015.
2. Can me and wife both apply COS at same time or there should be gap between our application dates.
3. Can we pick a date of Aug 10th as start date of my F1 as my Visa expires on Aug 15th, because i need to get salary for the days till I change my VISA to F1
4. If my employer gave a notice that I should move back to India after start of my part time course say Feb 2015, can I apply for F1 at that time and resign the job with out having approved F1 in my hand but just submitting a COS forms to US govt.
Can you please respond to the above questions because I am little confused with COS process.
