L1 Independent contractor
I am an Indian, was in US in 2008 to 2012. I worked for a company in L2 with EAD. Later moved to India but the employer asked me to station in India and manage their operations in Asia and branch office in China. So was traveling between India/China/Indonesia for a year and was paid as Independent consultant. After that I quit the job due to some personal reasons. Now that company wants me to come to US. Is it possible to do L1(based on them having a China branch office) and I worked as Manager in Asia for them? Do I have to pay taxes in US where I received salary for Independent contractor?
