Some double while applying for L1 slots

I have the following question, It will be greatful if anybody answer this.
Thanks in advance.

I am going on L1 from XYZ MNC to US. I received my petetion no and documents.
Now traveldesk of my company has to apply for visa slot.

1. I am a resident of bangalore(Karnataka). Since slots are available in match-06
at chennai and slot are availeble in delhi in Jan-06. I wish to apply for delhi.
Is this possible ?

2. Actually I am seeing freeslots for 13,17,19,20..for jan-2006. But for viewing this
I am using residing state as delhi. But while applying for visa and filling DS156
and DS157, I have to select my residing state as karnataka. Even that time will I
get the same status. Or would it be some different ?

3. Assume that I have applied for chennai and I would like to prepone depending on
the availability, Can I prepone to delhi ?

You have to apply in Chennai, not in Delhi.

Once you apply for Chennai, you can only go to Chennai. Can't switch to Delhi.
