Need information on L1 B stay

Hi Team,

I came to US on L1B visa in Dec-2010 which was valid for 3 yrs.
Then my employer has applied for my new L1B visa (not extension) and got it stamped in Canada (on Dec-2013). New L1B visa is valid til Dec-2018.

I went to India for vacation and came back to US and got the I-94 till Sep-2015 (passport expiry date)

My question is till when I can stay legally in US without going out of US for consecutive 1 year (no interruption).
Is it till Dec-2015 (completing 5yrs in US) or Dec-2018 (visa validity) ?

If there wasn't a one year gap between the time you left to Canada and got new stamping done, then it would be Dec 2015.
