I-94 expiring but DL is Valid

Hi,

I have a rare case, where my i-94 was reduced last time when I returned back from India.
So my DL is expiring sometime Next year, but my I-94 is going to expire this year.

since I still have non expired Valid DL, am i eligible to drive after my I-94 is expired?

You are not allowed to say in US post I-94 expiry, unless a timely extension is filed.

Yes during the extension pending time you can drive around with the valid license but stay away from border areas and do carry receipt of extension filed.
