  • L1 Blanket - resignation process?

    Hello!

If someone has an L1 blanket visa and they resign, is it the companies legal responsibility to contact US immigration and inform them that the visa is terminated?

Even if that person is not in the US at the time?

I'm trying to understand the responsibilities the company has - and if that visa is "dead" forever, or if it can be re-activated and used by work for the same company?

    Thanks...

Not the visa but the petition is terminated and the person should leave the US immediately.

Visa as such is not dead, the person can still re join the employer and use the visa to work for the employer as long as visa is valid.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

      Thank you VERY much.

I will take this as true, but wondering where I might find it documented in US visa regulations?
