L1 - Visa: Eligibility for Application
Hi IMMI Forum Members,
I need one help. Can I have your guidance on the following:
I am an employee of X Company (Headquarters in US), working in their Beijing Office (China).I have got an offer to work in their headquarters (US).
In this case - am I eligible to apply for L1 visa ? Note : The current organization (in Beijing) for which I am working right now, was part of Y company (which X company acquired 6 months back).I have been working with the Y Company for nearly 2 years (prior to acquisition). Does this conflict with the following application requirement: "the alien worked for the employer for at least 1 continuous year in the 3-year period preceding the filing of the petition in an executive, managerial, or specialized knowledge professional capacity. "
