Proposed duration of stay in DS-160 and one mentioned in Form -129S should be same?

Hi,

Should the duration/dates of intended employment mentioned in Form-129S (example : 3 years) be the same mentioned while filling DS-160, i.e. for question of duration of stay in US ? What if in DS-160, we put 1 year ?
