Hi,
i am in inquiring on the COS process. i am currently on a L1A status, expiring on March 1, 2015. my extension was filed and approved recently and i have the notice with my new I-94 from March 1, 2015 to March 1 2017. i am reviewing a potential opportunity with a new employer, which i understand has to be on a H1B visa. my questions are:
1. Does the COS process (including the petition) go through the lottery system in April?
2. if yes to #1, and if my COS/Petition is denied - will i continue to have my L1A status with the expiration of March 2017?
3. There is a small chance, my current employer may file for the GC process mid next year (2015). should i wait for this to happen and then make the move to the employer?
4. what is the timeline for GC processing being on a L1A vs. H1B?
