  • L2 Visa health requirements

    Hi,

I'm near the process of applying for a L1 Visa, taking my family with me (wife and two kids). My wife has multiple sclerosis (non infectious nor contagious autoimmune disease). From a health insurance point of view, my employer's insurance company covers her, so that's no problem. And you wouldn't notice she has it unless I told you, she looks absolutely healthy and doesn't have any limitations thankfully.

My question is, when she applies for the L2 Visa, could the fact that she has multiple sclerosis be be an issue? What kind of health checks are made, and from those health checks, which ones would be showstoppers?

    Thanks for your help!

I believe this should not be a showstopper.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Thank you very much for your answer. It seems DS-160 form only applies for non immigrants, but since my wife woudl be applying for a L2 Visa, that should be considered an immigrant visa, right?

Do you know when in the process would she be asked for something like her multiple sclerosis?

      Thanks

Thanks. So this also applies to H1 Visas, right?

Where can I find which are immigrant visas?

Immigrant visa is for greencard. Everything else is non-immigrant visa.

In other words, there is just one 'immigrant visa'. However, there are many different types of non-immigrant visas.
