  • Can a non applicant minor accompany parents

I have my visa interview coming up and me n my husband will go to Chennai for the same. Our 3 yr old is a US citizen and therefore a non-applicant for L1 visa.
Since the appt is in Chennai, we have to stay overnight and cannot leave him with anyone.
Is it ok if he accompanies us to the trip to the consulate?
Sorry if this is a silly qs, but i didnt find any answer online and thought it better to confirm with experts here.
PS - Both me and hubby will be applying together as family. We can carry his passport as proof that he doesnt need a visa.

I'm not sure but, they must have a facility for this kind of issues.

Since your child is a US citizen, there shouldn't be any problem.

Why don't you call consulate people once to confirm?

This is my opinion, not a legal advice.

I just called up the Consulate and they said no kids below 14 allowed at all.

We went for interview to the consulate and there were a lot of kids. So i guess we were misinformed.
          Visa approved btw.
