Moved to US with husband's L1 visa, but daughter can't get EAD on her L2 dependent?
We just moved to the US from England in October 2014, on my husband's L1 Visa. So I am on L2 spouse and my 18 year old daughter is L2 dependent.
We were told that me and my daughter can't get SSN until we apply for our EAD first. We then found out that I am able to apply for my EAD and get my security number but my daughter is not eligible for an EAD application because she isn't an L2 spouse like me. How does this make sense? She can't work or drive here because of this, its ridiculous.
There must be something we're missing. If anybody could help with some more info on a solution that would be appreciated.
