Since August 2014, I am working for Indian subsidiary of my US parent company in Mumbai. When I will be completing one year in August 2015, my company will apply for an L1 visa to transfer me to the parent company in US. However, the subsidiary in India wants me to now apply and travel on a B1 visa now to attend 2 weeks training with US counterparts of my parent company in US. I have two questions Q1) Will applying and traveling on a B1 visa now will interrupt the one year outside US work requirement of L1 visa (that I will be completing in August 2015)? Q2) Will a B1 visa now have a negative impact on my L1 application in August 2015?
