L1 and L2 Extension Interview Documents

Hi there,

I have an interview scheduled for my L1 visa extension, my understanding here is that it is a stamping? Not a new visa?

However my wife and son (L2) both had they passport stolen so they will need a new visa.

What are the different documentation requirements here? Do I follow the documentation requirements for L1 visa and L2 visa as though I was applying for the first time? Do I need to communicate a head of time that the L2s need a new visa?
