Hi all,

I am working on L1B ( valid till 2007 ) from June 2004 to till now.
I have applied from my H1B petition with change of status and it was approved from Oct 2005 and i was issued an I-94 starting from Oct 2005
I planned to continue to work on my Old L1B till Dec and join the new company on 1 Jan 2006
But unfortunately, suddenly I had to return to Base country due to family emergency.
Can you please tell me whether my wok on L1B will be considered illegal when going for my visa stamping.
Also can you please tell me whether i have done anything illegal.

You will have to work for your H1B employer the moment your COS petition with them has been approved. Do contact an Immigration Attorney to find out if you have maintained status.
