I work as an L-2 with an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and our I-194 and L1B of my spouse will max out next month. I have been working in this company for 3 years in the US (2.5 years as a contractor and 0.5 year as a permanent employee) My company is willing to move me in our overseas office. Does the 1 year clock reset applies to L2 as well? Do I need to be outside the US for 1 year before the employer can apply for L1 petition?

This is my opinion not legal advice.
