L1 specialised knowledge visa - holidays during 'one year continuous employment'

Hi,

I am working for an affiliate company in the united kingdom as a Contractor but managed by the US subsidiary company. I have a one year contract and thereafter would look into transferring to the US.

However, I have taken holiday i.e. 2 weeks to New York for leisure over festive season and want to take holidays for a few more weeks during this one year period. Will this effect in any way 'one year continuous employment'.

Do I need to have completed a bachelors degree for L1B specialised knowledge visa?

I have had extreme trouble looking for this answer or understanding. If say, I have 4 weeks of holiday, which is standard in europe, and travel, will this be deducted from my 12 months within the one year contract period?

If during the holiday you are on active payroll of your employer, it will be considered that you were in continuous employment.
