  • Staying in US for six more months after L1 status revoked/expired (have valid B1/B2)

    Dear all

Currently working on L1B with a company in US. If had a valid B1/B2 Visa issued to me in 2008 which is valid until 2018. If i resign now from the company, I am guessing I will loose my L1 status immediately. In that case, can i stay back in the US for at least six months based on my B1/B2 visa issued in 2008 valid till 2018 ?

Not unless the L1 to B1/B2 Change of Status is approved by USCIS.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
