  • L1B visa

    Hi,

Can someone advise if country of birth helps accelerate a GC processing or the beneficiary's nationality at that point of time.

For ex: I'm an Indian by birth, but I soon will change my nationality to a different country other than the U.S. Now as GC processing takes several years whilst on L1B visa, can my new nationality change the speed at which my GC is processed or will it still be based on my country of birth?

    Thanks in advance.
    Jay

No it doesnt effect even if you change your citizenship. As ones country of birth can never change priority date is decided by that.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
