Local contract offer from US branch on my L1B.

I was in US last year on L1B for 6 months on per diem basis. Now my US company is offering me local contract (hire). Can I resign from my India company and join US. After resigning in India within how many days I need to join US. Does this impact my current L1B validity ?

Normally this process is coordinated between Your India company and US Company branch teams, as technically L1 visa is a Intra Company Transfer but seems your India branch is not aware of this transfer plan. Seems more of an HR issue between your branches.
